Melissa was born in Jamaica, West Indies and raised in New York City. While completing her undergraduate degree she worked part-time as a tutor. After graduation, she was hired to manage oncology trials at a health-care teaching institution. She implemented a computerized database to maintain client files in efforts to report the information more efficiently. Melissa moved to a thriving corporation within the technology department to coordinate projects.
In 2005, Melissa decided to focus on her true passions: culinary arts & worldwide tourism. Melissa graduated with highest honors from the Institute of Culinary Education, completed an internship at Gramercy Tavern and launched Dynamic Cuisines Inc., which reflects her working style and passion for diverse cuisines.
Dynamic Cuisines Inc. has had the pleasure to work closely with the Alvin Ailey American Dance Company and the Ukrainian Institute of America. The Brooklyn Public Library's Business Library awarded Dynamic Cuisines Inc. with distinction for the Power Up Business Plan Competition.

Melissa holds a Bachelor of Science in Biochemistry from the State University of New York at Stony Brook.
Melissa is a member of Women Chefs & Restaurateurs, NAACP, BCA Global as well as Cambridge Who's Who.
